Wade Byer just called(They guy that tells us that we have no school). We don’t have school tomorrow! Yay! Ms.Haseltine said that we going to get around 10-18 inches of snow. My mom told me that Loudoun County is also trying to move the last day of school, ten days earlier. Because this is our first time in this season that we are using a snow day. Whenever I think about snow the song “Walking in a Winter Wonderland”, starts playing in my head. I think it’s one of my favorite winter songs. I just can’t wait to on the fireplace and drink hot cocoa tomorrow!

 

Okay, I know it says I missed a day, but I really didn’t. I posted a blog post yesterday at around 8:00 p.m. Then, I went back to my site to look at it and it said March 12, 2017. So ya, but now it’s the 12th day of the challenge and I can’t believe I am still doing it. I am really looking forward to Tuesday because we are going to have SNOW! I also, truly have mixed feelings about it because I don’t want to miss pie day. I mean I love No School, but Pi day is also supposed to be really fun. I remember last year we got like 2 feet of snow, and school was closed for a week. Anyway, that was the #SOLSC blog post for today.

 

I will be picking 5 random words, that I will use in my blog post today! The words are pickle, heart, Jess, peanut butter( and yes I know it’s two words), and adventure.

 

There was once a girl named Jess. She loved to go on adventures almost as much as she liked peanut butter. One day, Jess was strolling around on a nearby strawberry field, when the mighty pickle showed up. Jess was terrified, the pickle was one of the most terrifying creatures on Heartville. “Ha ha, I have found my dinner”, said the mighty pickle. ” No you haven’t”, Jess said as she knocked him out with her basket. The End!

Does this ever happen to you, you’ll get an amazing idea, and you’ll forget to write it down. So then later you totally forget it. Yep, that was me today, Ms. Haseltine was talking about 1st-grade comments and the best idea ever popped into my head. I couldn’t wait home to go home and blog about it. I thought about it for the rest of 7th and 8th block. Then, I came home opened my computer, and nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, I totally forgot what I was going to write about! It wasn’t that bad though because I still came up with some good ideas for #SOLSC. Although, I was still a little disappointed that I totally forgot what my idea was.

 

When you are in elementary school, you think of middle school and think that it is wonderful. The reality is the opposite. Middle School isn’t that bad, but it isn’t like the dreams you dreamt of when you were in 4th grade either. Middle School expects you to be more responsible, and for some people that can be hard at first, but with time they get used to it. And, of course, we have lockers. Do you remember when you were in 4th and 5th grade and just couldn’t wait to have a locker? Me too, now there is not a single day when someone doesn’t step on my toe. Oh, and how can I forget about the locker rush, the 6 minutes in between each block when every single 6th grader is in the same space. Although, lockers are also very helpful. They are the one place where you basically store all your school supplies for the whole year, your notes, books, pencils, and etc.There are a few ups and downs in Middle School, but overall it is a very fun time.

 

Okay, so now it’s March and we haven’t even gotten any snow(maybe like a millimeter). This weather is the weirdest weather ever, one day it’s freezing and one day it feels like summer. It get’s nice and warm for 2 days and everyone is happy, then a day later it feels like winter. Also, April’s showers are supposed to bring May’s flowers, and a lot of people are saying that the Cherry Blossoms might bloom in a few days. This weather is so messed up, I remember this time last year it was just starting to warm up. It’s like it snowed a little, and then the snow decided that it would rather snow in Pennsylvania.

 

In 3rd Grade I moved from Sterling. I actually moved in 2nd Grade except I still went to the same school, because there was like 10 days left of school.  I went to Meadowland Elementary School, for 1st and 2nd. Then we moved to Ashburn. So, I started going to Moorefield Station. My first year there, was actually the first year that the school existed. So, it wasn’t to challenging to make friends. I remember that when I lived in Sterling, there was only one big community and everyone that lived in that community went to the same school. It was kind of cool, because every single bus went to the same community ,except each bus had different stops. We would all wave at each other, because we would see our friends, but we were on different buses.That’s pretty much it, about my old school. In elementary school, I used to love math! Now that I’m in Middle school I absolutely hate it. It’s so boring,  I understand that when we grow up we might use a few concepts. Although, I don’t understand when we would use variables and coordinate planes when we grow up. I mean we aren’t going to walk into a grocery store and think, Oh well I have to buy a carton of milk let me just plot that on a coordinate plane. Someone needs to explain to me, why we learn about the area of circles. You aren’t going to calculate the area of a pie before you eat it. Aren’t the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division enough? Come on, when we get older everyone is just going to take out their phone and put the numbers into a calculator. Mental Math won’t even be a thing! So there is another daily life struggle with Nitya!

Okay. I think it’s time to admit that I have a pen obsession, but I can’t resist there are so many colors out there. And, they all look so amazing, and then I feel like I need all of them. Although, I really don’t need them and I’ll be perfectly fine without all the pens in the world. I don’t really have a lot of pens I have 20  Papermate Flair Pens, and a few other pens, but it is definitely more than I need. I will also admit that I have a color coding obsession. I get my pen obsession from my mom. We both like to stay very organized and enjoy color coding.
