What’s it About : Ruby on the Outside, is about a girl Ruby who is entering middle school, and her biggest darkest secret is that her mom is in jail. It had always been hard for Ruby to make friends, but when she thinks she finally made a forever friend she learns that Margalit’s past and Ruby’s past are to similar. Too similar that something might have happened.
Thoughts : I very much enjoyed this book, and I thought it was very different and unique compared to others. I most definitely enjoyed the large twist at the end, and this book kept on making eager to turn the page and find out what comes next. I would definitely recommend this book to people that like realistic fiction books.
