Keyboarding

Unfortunately, I have to take keyboarding this semester. I missed 2 days of keyboarding because 1 I had a Spectrum field trip ,and 2 I was sick. Because of those 2 days I have been coming in every day in the morning for the last week. And I have been getting a lot of extra work just because I missed 2 days. All of my other classes didn’t really give me that much work. I have now realized how much work we do in keyboarding, even though we don’t realize it. So, there’s my blog post for the day sorry it was on the shorter side.

#SOLSC

It’s the 22nd day of the challenge, I’ve got to say that I am impressed that I have gotten this far. I thought that I would write for about 4-5 days and call it quits. But, I’ve been pretty consistent, I remember that I had a time issue when it said I posted a day after when I actually posted,  but I eventually figured out how to fix it. I’m going to say that for me it wasn’t really easy at all to do the challenge. There would be days when I knew I had weekend plans, and I would pre-write blog posts, but it would be really hard to do because I would have no inspiration. I would definitely suggest trying out the challenge for someone that kind of wants to do it. I would say that there were a few tough days, but overall it was pretty easy. I also noticed that as the challenge went on my blog posts have gotten shorter, but I truly don’t have a problem with it. I suggest that if you want to just try blogging every day, GO FOR IT! I absolutely loved it, it’s like a relaxing feeling to me. Anyways, I hope this motivated someone to blog every day.

Sit Back Down!

I’m currently writing this about something that happened a few weeks ago. I was walking out of my science classroom, because the bell ringed. And my teacher started screaming at us that the bell doesn’t dismiss us and that she does. I mean I get it , but we were done with the lab. But, she got mad at us that we didn’t get up in an “orderly fashion”, and said that we would all have to wait. She also, made us stay and clean the floor because apparently it got messy. I’m just saying , but it’s floor isn’t it supposed to be messy. Anyways, that was my blog post of the day.

Braces

It’s been about a month, since I got braces. I think I’ve gotten used to them, but no one else has. Anywhere I go, everyone is like Oh My God you got braces, and I’m like I’ve had them for a month and you already saw me with them. On Wednesday my friend came over to play in the snow, and she said  “You got braces”. And I said “Ya”, and that she saw me last Friday and said the same thing. I’m not trying to be complaining, but that’s kind of how I feel. I was telling my mom last night, and she just burst out laughing. She told me that she gets how I feel, but also that I am over reacting. So, that was the blog post for the day.

P.S, sorry for all the complaining blog posts lately!

Not Having a Book:(

Has this ever happened to you, when you will finish a book and you don’t have anything else to read? Well, that’s my problem right now. I just finished the 2nd book of the Land of Stories, and the 3rd book doesn’t come in the mail for another 2 days. I have 3-4 hours of free time right now, and I really want to read I just don’t know what I want to read. I looked through all the books in our house, and I have my heart set on the 3rd book of the Land of Stories Series. So, it’s being really hard to find a book, I can’t go to the library either because my parents both have office work. After, a while of thinking I finally decided to blog. After this, I think I’m going to go to my friend’s house. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!

Math 6/7

I honestly don’t understand Math 6/7. We learn something on one day, and then the next day we have a quiz. What do you do if you don’t understand it, it’s not like teachers enjoy staying after school. After we take the quiz, we learn something else and she tells you that there is a quiz on it next class. How is that fair? After 4 or 5 quizzes, you receive a 20-page packet, that you have to complete in 5 days. After that, you have a test. Then, the cycle starts all over again. Who made Math so BORING?????? Math 6/7 is 2 years of Math in 1 year, and our teacher loves to fill up our binders, I can tell you that. I have to cram my binder into my locker every day after Math. I always ask my teacher if I can take a few papers out, but she says we need everything. Do we really need to carry around like 300 pages? So, there is my blog post for the day.

Confession Time!

I got this idea from Literacy And Love(aka Anika), she has amazing blog posts you guy’s should go and check her blog out. I have a fear of tarantulas and dogs. I know, everyone can gasp now. They, don’t freak me out or something, it’s just that I would never want a dog and I don’t exactly enjoy being in the same room as a dog. It all started when I was 5, and my mom took me to her friends place so we could have a play date. They had a chihuahua and as soon as I walked in it bit me. It wasn’t that bad, I just needed to get a lot of shots, and stayed at the hospital for 3 days. But, from that moment I have never really liked dogs. I am okay with other dogs, but chihuahuas freak me out. I don’t exactly feel comfortable around a dog, but I can usually manage myself and not freak out.Whenever I’m around a dog to the story of the chihuahua biting me just plays in my head. However, I feel like my fear of tarantula’s is pretty self-explanatory.

Fish in a Tree Book Review!

Title: Fish in a Tree

Author: Lynda Mullaly Hunt

Genre: Realistic Fiction

Rating: 5/5

My Thoughts:

I absolutely loved this book. It is definitely one of my favorites now. When I was reading it I thought it was an okay book. Although, when I finished it, I realized that I loved it. I honestly don’t know how to describe the book. I just know that I loved it.

What’s it About:

Fish in a Tree is about a girl; Ally. Who isn’t exactly the brightest/smartest in her class. Her substitute teacher suggests she should get tests done. They find out that Ally has dyslexia, which doesn’t mean she isn’t smart just that her brain thinks differently.

NO SCHOOL!

I never would have guessed, that we wouldn’t have school today. Yesterday, all my friends and my parents said that we would have school today. So, I decided that it would be a better idea to set my alarm clock to wake up at 9:00 because we had a 2-hour delay. I got up, got ready and when I went downstairs no one was awake.  Then, I got out my phone and when I looked at the Loudoun County Public Schools website, I figured out that schools were canceled. I had mixed opinions at that time because I was ready to go to school, but I didn’t want to go to school either. I decided to try to go back to bed, and I couldn’t, so I’m probably going to sleep earlier today then I would if I knew there was No School. The schools called yesterday around 8:30, and said that we would have a 2-hour delay, but it might become a closure. It all doesn’t really matter though because we don’t have school today!

The 14th Day

Did everyone look outside? Did, anyone notice the white sheets of powdery amazingness covering the grass? Well, if you did then you are correct it is snowing today. I am so excited that we don’t have school today! I am currently writing this next to our fireplace, and it makes me so happy. That we finally had time to turn it on. As much as I love school, I feeling a little down that we are missing Pi Day today. Our Math teacher rescheduled it to Thursday, but I’m going to be out of town on that day. So, no Pi Day for me :(. I hope everyone is having a wonderful and amazing snow day.
